In Conversation: Keir Graff & Bryan Gruley
05/03/2011 6:00 pm
To mark the paperback release of Keir Graff’s popular thriller, The Price of Liberty, Graff will be interviewed live by award-winning author Bryan Gruley. The event promises something different from the usual author reading: a stimulating conversation between two authors with an easygoing rapport. In addition, both have day jobs that give them unusual perspectives on the business of writing and publishing. Graff is the editor of Booklist Online, a publication of the American Library Association, and Gruley is the Chicago bureau chief of the Wall Street Journal. Gruley received widespread acclaim with the publication of his first mystery, Starvation Lake, which won the Anthony, the Barry, and was nominated for an Edgar. His second book, The Hanging Tree, confirmed that he is a writer to watch—and read. Attendees will be eligible to win door prizes inspired by events in Graff’s book.
Keir Graff is the author of four novels for adults, a forthcoming children’s book, and is the editor of Booklist Online.
Bryan Gruley is the author of The Hanging Tree and Starvation Lake and is the Chicago bureau chief of the Wall Street Journal.
This event is co-sponsored by the Newberry Library's A.C. McClurg Bookstore. Admission is free and no reservations are required.
