About the author: Jared A. Brock is a film producer and the director of Josiah, a documentary about Josiah Henson. He is the author of two previous books, A Year of Living Prayerfully and Bearded Gospel Men. His writing has appeared in Esquire, Huffington Post and Writer’s Digest.
