Lou Agosta - "Empathy"

Wednesday, February 10, 2016 - 6:00pm - 7:30pm

Lou Agosta discusses Empathy in the Context of Philosophy & A Rumor of Empathy.

At the Co-op

About the books: Empathy is oxygen for the soul. Short of breath? Maybe one needs expanded empathy. If the new year leaves you breathless or in need of some empathy, do not miss this event! When all the philosophical arguments are complete, when all the transference and countertransference is analyzed, when all the phenomenological methods are reduced, when all the hermeneutic circles are spun out, in empathy, one is quite simply in the presence of another human being. www.aRumorOfEmpathy.com

About the author: Lou Agosta, Ph.D., is the author of three books on empathy. He teaches empathy in the history and systems of psychology at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. His PhD is in philosophy (University of Chicago).  www.ListeningWithEmpathy.com
