Rules for Recitation
1. Poem must be memorized (no peeking).
2. Poem must be at least eight lines long. No Haiku, Tanka, Limericks, Couplets (Heroic or otherwise), Sestets, Acrostics or (most likely) Epitaphs.
3. Reciter must be able to explain meaning of said poem (just kidding).
As Yet Unasked Questions
"What if I've never read a poem, much less memorized one?"
We'll have poems on hand for anyone interested to take and read, commit to memory, submit with a parking ticket, it's up to you.
"Can I recite prose instead?"
Right, because the world needs more prose...
"When can I start?!"
