About the Book (English edition): Lady Lucy’s Quest is the story of a feisty young girl who wants to be a Knight in the Middle Ages. She confronts many hurdles but ultimately finds success because she is able to solve problems in unique and unexpected ways. Through her actions and words, she demonstrates the importance of pursuing one's dreams and the power of the possible for children everywhere.

About the Author: Karen Gross is an author, educator and pre-K–adult education consultant based in Washington, DC where she works as Senior Counsel for Finn Partners. Recently, she has taught as a visiting professor at Bennington College and is currently a visiting teacher at the Molly Stark Elementary School, also in Bennington, VT.

She is the author of an award-winning book, Failure and Forgiveness, published by Yale University Press, and co-author of a recent book on the post-inaugural march signage and its meaning titled Teach Our Children Well. She has written a well-received children’s book series titled Lady Lucy’s Quest (including Spanish editions and sequels) and the just released, highly endorsed book on at risk student success across the educational pipeline titled Breakaway Learners published by Columbia Teachers College Press. She has a forthcoming sequel in 2019 tentatively titled Teaching TtGen Students. She has also won numerous awards for her work, including being named an Education Top Voice in 2015 – 2018 by LinkedIn.

For 8 plus years, Gross was the President of Southern Vermont College, a small, private, affordable, four-year college located in Bennington, Vermont. From 2011 to 2013, she served as Senior Policy Advisor to the US Department of Education in Washington, DC. Prior to becoming a college president, Dr. Gross was a tenured law professor for more than two decades.
