About this book: In this odd story about sharing, Lucas gets stuck in a swimming pool filled with syrup and almost loses his entire neighborhood to an elephant tornado. It is through sharing his syrup with the elephant tornado that Lucas is able to free himself and save his family and friends. He learns that without inviting others to enjoy his most favorite thing in the world, enjoying his most favorite thing in the world is not only pretty lonely, but could create a pretty sticky situation!
About the author: Lara Musard is the Prop Manager at the Court Theatre in Hyde Park, and has worked as a theater artisan for 15 years creating objects to help tell a story. Inspired by her love of storytelling and her whimsical and willful son who, when asked what he would fill up a pool with if he could choose anything replied “syrup”, "The Syrup Book" is Lara's first children’s picture book.
