Who Reads Poetry: A Conversation with Editors Fred Sasaki and Don Share

Fred Sasaki, art director of Poetry magazine, and Don Share, Poetry’s editor, will talk about the new Poetry magazine collection Who Reads Poetry, gathering the best of the magazine’s popular “The View from Here” feature, which brings in non-poets—people like Neko Case, Roxane Gay, and Roger Ebert—to tell why they read poetry and what it does for them. Sasaki and Share will talk about the magazine, poetry, where they see of poetry in people’s lives today, and more.

Fred Sasaki edits the “View From Here” and is art director for Poetry magazine. He is also the gallery curator for the Poetry Foundation.

Don Share became editor of Poetry in 2013. He is co-editor of The Open Door: 100 Poems, 100 Years of Poetry Magazine, also published by the University of Chicago Press.
